1. I love the rain
2. I love the smell of rain
3. Rain isn't fun without Tyler
4. I miss him even more(like that's possible) when it rains
5. BUT I CAN DEAL
As a missionary girlfriend we learn the art of dealing.(NOT THAT KIND OF DEALING)
We learn to deal with our feelings of sadness. We learn to deal with the day to day battle of him not being here. We learn to deal with everyone around us telling us that the task we are trying to perform is an impossible task. Lastly we learn to deal with ourselves.
Now that sounds a little funny right? In those two years he is gone, we discover who we are, and that is sometimes why some missionaries receive the "dear john/jane" letter. We come to find out that we have a different path to take, or that the path you are on is the right one.
I'm still learning the art of dealing, and it's pretty interesting to see how it's shaping me into the women I want to be.
I'm constantly learning to recognize the little things in life that make it so much better! Every night I pray that I can be better tomorrow! While our men are on their missions, we are on a mission. This is a very different, but an extremely important one (if you choose to except it). Our mission is to become the wife, mother and, homemaker that our missionaries hope that we can be. We are preparing ourselves to enter into the temple, and marry that amazing guy that we waited two years for! That is an extremely important mission. It shouldn't be taken lightly.
I am not ready, but each day I'm one step closer. (:
Keep your sights set on what's important.. <3
