Happiness

I wouldn't say today has been AWESOME! I woke up on the later side today, at about 10am.
Since I have work at 2, waking up at 10 leaves me with barely any day left!
I walked downstairs, ate my breakfast, and told the kids to get dressed and ready so that we could go to the park. 11 o'clock comes around and I checked the mail. LO and BEHOLD a lovely letter from my amazing missionary came!! I was soo happy!
It took me literally about an hour to read it all! He decorated it and made it look all colorful! What a silly boy!
Anyways that was the highlight of my day!
I wish it had been more productive, but since I slept in, I couldn't really do anything about it!
I must say though that I just LOVE him soo much! Everyday I go without him, makes me appreciate and be so much more grateful!

FOUR MONTHS

Today is Tyler's FOUR MONTHS mark! Everything so far, so good! Gosh I love him so much! Honestly my love for him has multiplied so much since he has left its unreal! God has blessed me with so much peace and comfort since has left.
This cutie right here not only does he make me drool ( hehe;) ) but he makes me so unbelievably happy! These four months haven't necessarily been the easiest, but they have been livable! I have had a few rough spots feeling so lonely, but it was all in my head and all the MG's have been such a help and blessing for me! As well as my best friend:) 4 months may not be that far in, but I'm accomplishing little bit by little bit and next thing I'll know I'll be approaching the last month!  Gosh I love him so much!
We're weird... But....
I found someone whose weirdness is compatible to mine.<3

He is so worth every second of my wait.:) after these two years I won't have to wait any more!:)

Prayer

May I just say that I LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE PDAY? Yes
So last week on Saturday I went out with the sister missionaries in my ward. I usually go with them every week, this week I went with them twice. It was such a blessing in disguise, EVERY PERSON we visited asked me to pray. Normally when we are getting ready to leave we will ask them if they would like us to leave them with a prayer, and we ask who they would like to say the prayer. Normally they just say "ohh I don't care," and one of the sisters will say it, but noo not this time. I got asked to pray three times in a row.
I have been thinking about it and how funny that was, and I wonder if that meant I wasn't praying enough? Well I took as that, and I have decided to try harder to pray more fervently, and more often, relying on my Heavenly Father more.
Maybe that was just coincidental? I don't know, but I'm choosing to make something out of that. :)
Prayer has become so much more important to me in my life, especially since Tyler has left. At different times I felt so completely alone that I didn't even know who to turn to or talk to. I have learned in the past four months of him being gone that our Heavenly Father wants to hear everything, our desires, our worries, our fears, our accomplishments, everything. He may know everything, but he is our literal Heavenly Father and he wants to hear it from us. I didn't realize that until now.

side note: so yesterday was pday!!! GOSH I just love pdays, it is like a perfect little pick me up, just to get me through the rest of the week. Shout out to all of you Missionary Girlfriends, I hope it was awesome for all of you:)

 Nuff said right here! PRAY(:

Keep your sights set!

Few things I learned today....
 1. I love the rain
 2. I love the smell of rain
 3. Rain isn't fun without Tyler
 4. I miss him even more(like that's possible) when it rains
 5. BUT I CAN DEAL

As a missionary girlfriend we learn the art of dealing.(NOT THAT KIND OF DEALING)
We learn to deal with our feelings of sadness. We learn to deal with the day to day battle of him not being here. We learn to deal with everyone around us telling us that the task we are trying to perform is an impossible task. Lastly we learn to deal with ourselves.
Now that sounds a little funny right? In those two years he is gone, we discover who we are, and that is sometimes why some missionaries receive the "dear john/jane" letter. We come to find out that we have a different path to take, or that the path you are on is the right one.
I'm still learning the art of dealing, and it's pretty interesting to see how it's shaping me into the women I want to be.
I'm constantly learning to recognize the little things in life that make it so much better! Every night I pray that I can be better tomorrow! While our men are on their missions, we are on a mission. This is a very different, but an extremely important one (if you choose to except it). Our mission is to become the wife, mother and, homemaker that our missionaries hope that we can be. We are preparing ourselves to enter into the temple, and marry that amazing guy that we waited two years for! That is an extremely important mission. It shouldn't be taken lightly.
I am not ready, but each day I'm one step closer. (:
Keep your sights set on what's important.. <3

Anything is possible :)

DAY 2 of our work out! I took the kids to the park today. I must say, they did sooooo much better this time! The two older kids ran with a few stops, and barely any complaints (I think that was because I told them if I heard complaints they would have to run another lap. That doesn't sound very nice). I ran with the littlest one, and half way through he started getting very negative. It went from, this is fun, to "I can't." I just kept cheering him on!
Everyone needs a little cheering on in there life,
whether its the little things, or the hardest things
we will ever experience in our life.
The little 4 year old(almost) DID IT! Yes, he may have been last, but even when he didn't think he could he kept going and I kept cheering! I was not about to give up on him. I almost had him stop and start walking, because I felt so bad that he started crying and I thought that maybe I was pushing him too hard or something. What kept me from letting him stop is knowing there are times in our life where we think "we can't," but never once has Heavenly Father given up on us. Why would I give up on him, when I knew he could do it. I was so proud of him when he made it to the end! I gave him a big hug and told him good job probably ten times, because one time was not enough. This is what I call a simple victory! He proved something to me today, ANYTHING is possible.

We go about our lives thinking that so many things are "impossible." Why? because so many of us are so close minded on the possibilities. We forget who our father is. Our father is an eternal, all knowing, omnipotent being, who can do ALL things. I myself am unable to fathom what he is capable of. You're probably wondering how my little 4 year old(almost) brother proved to me that anything is possible, well he did what he didn't think he could do. We can do what we think we can't do. (now I'm not saying that we are going to be able to have some magical supernatural powers..haha)
Look at these cuties showing off there muscles
If you see these kids walking the streets, give them a high five, because they are goin somewhere(:

Healthy, here we come.

I took the kids (meaning my siblings) to the park today. This was quite an interesting trip this time, because I learned that they are completely and totally LAZY.
The obesity rate in the U.S. is awful! Not that my sibs are obese, because they are no way close to even being fat!  There childhood is very different from what I grew up with. When I was little, I'd spend hours outside riding my bike, playing with the kids down the road, jumping on the trampoline, and many other activities. What my siblings consider a nice day is.. getting to lay on the couch and watch Netflix. WHAT???  I took the kids for a walk much like I always do, and I told them to run. I kind of wanted to see what they could do, and it turned into I'm making them run. I jogged behind them and yelled words of encouragement as they tried to run. I heard comments of "this is too hard," or "my legs hurt," and "I can't do this." This is coming from children bouncing with energy (4 year old(almost) a 7 year old(almost) and a 10 year old(almost)). They all pushed through, but there were times when the 7 year old would try and sit down after barely running, or the 4 year old was crying because he didn't want to do it. I was in awe at the fact they couldn't do it. After we made a full lap, I congratulated them and told them good job for pushing through and doing it.
I made sure they all had water, and we all hopped in the car and went home. I told them to get more water and then hurry into the living room to cool off and stretch, and they all complained. My heavens, what in the world?
I've decided that from now on I'm making them run and jog. These kids are going to BEAT the obesity rate and be fit and happy and healthy.

Seeing as though I am waiting for my missionary, I myself will be working out as well.
I don't know who all is going to read this, but I'm making a promise publicly to get fit,
and stay fit. Tyler is working hard for me, so I can too;)

I'm going to try doing a quote thing for each day that I blog
I guess we will see(:
"God doesn't care nearly as much about where you have been as he does about where you are and with his help, where you are willing to go."

Our story

Our story..
It all started on December 31st 2011. New years eve. Every year for New years girls spend a lot of time getting ready for the dance that our stake puts together. I helped all my friends get ready, and I was left a little short on time, but I put on my new dress and did my hair and makeup, as me and my friends were getting ready to run out the door, my mom insisted we take pictures.
I didn't expect this night to change my life the way it did. I went thinking "ahh this'll be fun! It's the start of the new year."
Upon arrival, I looked for my boyfriend (at the time) and my best friend! Before I found my boyfriend, I scanned the room for cuter boys, and one boy caught my eye. I didn't think I'd actually get to talk or see him again, but five minutes later I hear "Are all y'all stake dances this big?" (in a deep southern accent). I could barely make out what he was saying with the loud music, but it didn't matter because GOSH DANG HE WAS FREAKIN ATTRACTIVE! He went on introducing me to all of his friends that he brought, and I couldn't remember any of them, but it didn't matter at the time. Our conversation lasted about five minutes, because I knew I'd be seeing my boyfriend at any moment. I went off and had a good time, but I just couldn't get that cute boy out of my head!
(just so we are clear, I really didn't like my boyfriend at that time)
So I went about my night, and I was dancing with my friends, and slow song comes on, and of course NO ONE asks me.. until... that same deep voice that I couldn't get out of my head, says "do you wanna dance?" I smiled really big and said "YES!" (okay maybe not that enthusiastic, but in my head I was jumping up and down).  We danced two songs in a row, and in those two songs I found out that he lived THREE HOURS AWAY! what the heck? I was crushed, just kidding, but I was upset that I wouldn't be seeing his beautiful self again.
After midnight, and the dance came to a close me and my boyfriend were standing next to each other, and then out of no where Tyler and his group of friends came up to me. Tyler said "you should text me sometime" and hands me a slip of paper. Nothing was on it? ummm, I'm a little confused? I told him it was blank, and at that point i'm thinking, he probably gave his number out to every girl here. My boyfriend was pretty pissed that I didn't say anything about him, and he stormed off, but I didn't care. Tyler wrote his number down and gave it to me, and I wasn't planning on texting him.
I walked away and went and told my best friend what just happened, we laughed about it, and then told me they were having a pancake breakfast party. I asked my parents if I could go and they told me no, even though everyone was going. So here I was sitting completely by myself after the dance, and nobody is texting me, because they are all busy and having a good time, so I decided to text him.
YUP, I gave in.
~ 3 days later, I broke up with my boyfriend.. hehe

~ weeks past and Tyler and I became completely attached to our phones!

I would not say it was love at first sight...but I did know that I liked him

March 30th 2012 came and Tyler asked me, he got me a cookie cake that said "will you go out with me, I promise I'll be sweet?" of course I said yes!

April 2012 was just awesome, he told me he loved me for the first time!
One night we were talking on the phone and he gets really quiet, I asked him what was on his mind.
He told me that at the New Years dance he got this feeling that he'd meet his wife at that dance. He told me that he felt impressed to give me his number. He didn't give his number out to any other girl, which is a big deal for him;).
Gosh I fell so in love with him, that some real stuff right there.

You may wonder about the distance thing... but honestly if its worth it, you'll make it work!

Its been a little over a year that we started dating, and he is now serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mexico city, Mexico.
~Yes, I'm waiting. (:
~Yes, I couldn't be happier

I'm a missionary girlfriend, and proud of it!
what's two years, to eternity?
